Three shooters ‘open fire on school bus stop leaving female victim riddled with gunshot wounds’

Three shooters opened fire on a school bus stop in Louisville, Kentucky and hospitalized at least one victim on Wednesday morning. 

Police said that an adult female was shot and was transported to University Hospital in an unknown condition. 

No arrests have been made and the Louisville Metro Police Department said there are ‘no outstanding suspects at this time.’ 

Reports say that the shooting unfolded Wednesday around 8am at a school bus stop, and children were seen running for safety. 

The shooting targeted a Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) bus, and the stop is located near to the Coleridge-Taylor Montessori Elementary School and Central High School.

The incident comes just days after another shooting occurred near the same location on West Chestnut Street on August 7. 

In that shooting, a 15-year-old boy was accused of opening fire on a school bus stop as students prepared for the first day back at school. 

He did not injure anyone, but was charged with 33 counts of first-degree wanton endangerment and one count of possession of a handgun by a minor.
