Tom Brady’s embattled Raiders reveal punishment for Kirk Cousins and Maxx Crosby after practice descended into chaos with shocking fight
After two Las Vegas Raiders veterans went at it on the practice field in training camp, the team ensured that their antics would not carry over into a second day.
On Friday afternoon, Raiders pass rusher Maxx Crosby got into a scuffle with new arrival and veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins.
Crosby hit Cousins’ arm twice in team practice. After the second hit, Cousins grabbed Crosby’s jersey and got in his face.
The two exchanged heated words before they were broken up by multiple bystanders.
On Saturday, neither Crosby nor Cousins took part in full-squad drills as the team held them both out for disciplinary reasons.
Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak confirmed that both players will return to the field on Monday for their next practice.

‘We have very clear expectations on how we want to practice and how we want to go about our business, and we violated that yesterday, so [we] held those guys out,’ Kubiak said.
‘That’s all I’m going to say about it. We addressed it with the team, and we’re moving on.’
Both Crosby and Cousins were spotted stretching with the team and took part in individual drills. However, neither player participated in the 11-on-11 portion of Saturday’s schedule.
The Raiders, who are part-owned by NFL legend Tom Brady, let rookie quarterback Fernando Mendoza take first-team reps on Saturday in Cousins’ place.
After their fight, both Crosby and Cousins continued to practice. According to ESPN, Kubiak addressed the incident, calling it a ‘byproduct of camp.’ Still, he urged the two veterans to ‘be smarter with their emotions.’
They were not the only ones who got physical on Friday. Defensive tackle Jonah Laulu and guard Caleb Rogers also got into a scuffle. Unlike Crosby and Cousins, both Laulu and Rogers participated in Saturday’s practice.
