Travis Kelce’s friend admits he is ‘flabbergasted’ he wasn’t invited to Taylor Swift wedding in New York

It doesn’t seem that everyone who is close to Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift got an invite to the pop culture wedding of the decade.
Swift and Kelce tied the knot in an exclusive ceremony at Madison Square Garden in New York City last Friday with around 1,000 guests celebrating their big day.
While there were plenty of celebrities in attendance – from officiant Adam Sandler to producer Jack Antonoff to the likes of Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid – there are some in the football world who may have felt a cold shoulder.
Among them include former NFL starters Taylor Lewan and Will Compton – the co-hosts of the popular ‘Bussin’ With the Boys’ podcast.
On an episode of ‘Wake Up Barstool’ on Monday, Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy took the opportunity to call Compton while he was in Italy.
While Compton says he didn’t have much of a reaction when he realized he wasn’t getting an invite, he has since become surprised that he wasn’t extended an RSVP considering the others who were there.

Will Compton of the ‘Bussin’ with the Boys’ podcast said he was ‘flabbergasted’ by the snub

‘I’m gonna be honest, I didn’t think nothing of it,’ Compton told Portnoy over the phone while the show was going live.
‘Turns out, all these photos I keep seeing, I saw Dean Blandino got an invite? Is that real?’
He added, ‘As I’ve been seeing these photos of everybody else at the wedding, I’m kinda flabbergasted we didn’t get the invite.’
The podcast hosts are friends with Kelce and have had him on their show in the past.
Last June, during Kelce’s annual ‘Tight End University’ event that he puts on with friend George Kittle, Lewan and Compton posed for a picture with Kelce and Swift.
All four in the picture – including the ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ songstress – were seen flexing their muscles.
‘Confirmed: Taylor Swift is FOR THE BOYS,’ the caption of the Instagram post read.
The celebration, which closed off the streets around Madison Square Garden in Midtown Manhattan, featured a who’s who of the A-list world, such as Bradley Cooper, Steven Spielberg and Jay-Z, with guests from Hollywood, the music industry, fashion and sports colliding.
Adam Sandler urged Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift to ‘keep kissing’ throughout their marriage

There were also plenty of stars in the NFL who have befriended and faced off against Kelce over the years.
This includes many of his Chiefs teammates and coaches – including head coach Andy Reid, who has been at the helm in Kansas City since 2013.
Two days after the wedding, Reid opened up on Sandler’s words of advice to Travis and Taylor during the service as he helped the couple tie the knot.
‘Adam Sandler conducted the service there and he told them to “keep kissing,” in its simplest form. That’s a good thing,’ Reid told reporters on Sunday.
‘It’s hard to argue when you give your wife a kiss or your wife gives you a kiss… And make sure you do it every day, every minute that you have an opportunity to. Knock it out, and you won’t have any problems.’
Kelce landed a cameo role in Sandler’s Happy Gilmore sequel last year, while he also invited the comedian onto his and brother Jason’s New Heights podcast in 2024.
During that podcast appearance, Sandler left the Kelce brothers in stitches when he explained how much Swift means to his family.
He said: ‘You guys being together, I mean… when you guys first started dating, my god was my family like, “Yes! Look how good they are together, he’s a gentleman! And she’s having so much fun with him!” Like any time Taylor is laughing with you, my whole f***ing family is like high-fiving.’
The only member of the Chiefs who was not invited to the wedding was controversial kicker Harrison Butker, who is still remembered for a commencement speech described as sexist
Compton’s cousin, ex-NFL star Tom Compton, got roasted when his wife threw some public shade at him for not getting them an invited to Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s wedding
Much like Compton and Lewan, there were some members of the NFL who were not invited – including from the Chiefs.
Controversial kicker Harrison Butker was the only Kansas City player left off the guest list by Kelce and Swift, two years on from his divisive commencement speech at Benedictine College.
The snub therefore comes as a blow for Butker, who sparked uproar two years ago when he suggested women should prioritize being stay-at-home mothers over their careers during a commencement speech at Kansas City’s Benedictine College.
The three-time Super Bowl champion also appeared to condemn then-President Joe Biden’s pro-abortion stance and the LGBTQ+ community, igniting outrage at the time. A petition for Butker to be cut by the Chiefs was signed by more than 260,000 people.
Compton’s cousin, Tom Compton, was also not invited to the wedding and was on the receiving end of a hilarious roast by his wife.
In a TikTok video that has gone viral, Tiffany Compton – who has been married to the former offensive tackle since 2017 – filmed her husband carrying out some home improvements while the star-studded ceremony was happening in New York City.
The interior designer captioned the clip as she zoomed in on him: ‘when your husband played for every team in the NFL except the chiefs so we’re hanging roman shades instead [of] going to a wedding’.
Her hilarious video, which is accompanied by sad violin music in the background, has racked up millions of views at the time of writing.
