Wrexham target Australia defender as club’s Hollywood owners look to boost bid to reach the Premier League: WINDOW WATCH

It’s that time of the year again – the transfer window is now open until September 1 and it’s sure to be a busy period with clubs looking to make big signings ahead of next season.

Here are today’s latest developments from Simon Jones and the Daily Mail Sport team…

Wrexham consider move for Aussie defender

Wrexham are weighing up a move for Australia defender Harry Souttar.

The 27-year-old was relegated with Leicester City last season so is open to a move back up with ambitious Wrexham, who with their Hollywood backers, are looking to push for promotion to the Premier League.

The 6ft 6in centre back missed most of last season with an Achilles injury but has battled back to fitness and featured in all three of Australia’s group games at the World Cup.
