Sisi discusses ways to localize desalination technology and energy projects with the CEO of the Norwegian “Scatec” company

 

President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi received Raymond Carlsen, CEO of the Norwegian “SCATEC” company for new and renewable energy generation, in the presence of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Dr. Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, and Hilda Klimtsdale, the Norwegian Ambassador in Cairo.

The official spokesperson for the Presidency stated that the meeting dealt with discussing opportunities for cooperation with the Norwegian “Scatec” company on the localization of water desalination technology and new and renewable energy projects.

El-Sisi affirmed Egypt’s interest in cooperating with the Norwegian side, given the vast experience it enjoys in the field of new and renewable energy, pointing out the importance that any future cooperation projects between the two sides include technical training centers to build capacities in the fields of operation and maintenance, as well as research and development centers in cooperation with institutes. and various research centers in Egypt.

Raymond Carlsen also expressed his honor to meet Sisi, pointing to the great interest of the Norwegian company to discuss opportunities for cooperation with Egypt in the field of the company’s activities and its global expertise.
