Another handball player disappeared from the World Cup in Spain

The International Handball Federation (IHF) and tournament organizers confirmed the disappearance of Iranian handball player Chagai Babiri without a trace during the World Handball Championship in Spain.

The exact details of the 30-year-old athlete’s disappearance have not been reported. Papiri is the captain of the team in terms of the number of matches she has played.

This is not the first case of handball players missing a World Cup in Spain. Earlier, four of the Cameroon national football team Amelie Sifani Mfoua, Apollin Michel Ebina Ekopina, Yasmine Yochom and Yodel Clarisse Magovan all disappeared from their team site.
The athletes were last seen on December 8, when they took a taxi.
