The Minister of Higher Education visits the Egyptian-Japanese University of Science and Technology

Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, today made an inspection tour of the Egyptian-Japanese University of Science and Technology, in the presence of Dr. Hani Helal, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, Dr. Amr Adly, President of the University, Dr. Mostafa Refaat, Secretary of the Supreme Council of Universities, and a group of ministry leaders. The minister began his tour by inspecting the Ambassador Fayza Abul Naga Central Library, which contains a distinguished collection of books in Arabic, English, and Japanese, in addition to inspecting the auditoriums and study halls, as there are 4 auditoriums at the university with a capacity of 250 students. They were provided with sound insulation and were designed according to the Japanese style, so that the lecturer does not need to use loudspeakers for the sound to reach those in the last row of the classroom.

The Minister also inspected one of the new college buildings that are scheduled to be completed in the coming months, which includes 12 laboratories, two amphitheaters, 13 classrooms, and administrative offices, while the second building, which is scheduled to be completed within several months, includes 5 engineering drawing halls, 6 computer laboratories, two amphitheaters, 16 classrooms, and administrative offices.

The visit also included On the sidelines of the visit, Dr. Ayman Ashour inspected an exhibition of Japanese culture, and briefed the Minister on the most prominent elements contained in the exhibition. It expresses Japanese culture.

During his tour, the Minister appreciated the tangible achievements witnessed by the Egyptian Japanese University of Science and Technology in the academic, research and service fields, praising the extent of the capabilities and modern equipment provided by the university to provide a distinguished educational and research experience, which made the university a destination. Dr. Amr Adly, University President, explained that the university includes many distinguished colleges and study programs, which were established in full partnership with major Japanese universities, namely (the College of Engineering, the College of International Business and Humanities). , College of Art and Design, Pharmacy Program, Computers and Information Technology Program, Sustainable Architecture Program, Basic and Applied Sciences Program), noting that the study programs offered by the university include many modern specializations, which keep pace with the requirements of the local, regional and international labor market.

Dr. Adel Abdel Ghaffar, the media advisor and official spokesman for the Ministry, stated that the Egyptian-Japanese University of Science and Technology is an Egyptian government research university of a private nature, wholly owned by the Egyptian government, as the campus area is 200 acres, and the percentage of buildings is 17% of the total.
