The new American hypersonic missile AGM-183A under the ARRW program (Air-launched Rapid Response Weapon) was unsuccessful.
This was reported through the portal The War Zone with reference to a representative of the US Air Force.
It is noteworthy that the tests were conducted on December 16. An experimental missile was planned to be launched from a B-52 strategic launcher. The missile velocity must be five times faster than the speed of sound.
“The sequence of launches was halted before [the missile] separated due to an unknown problem,” a source told the Gateway.
According to him, the missile will be returned to the manufacturer for analysis. The US Air Force expects to resume testing soon.
