Declaring a state of emergency in Egypt

After the return of the container ship Ever Given to the Suez Canal

The container ship Ever Given, which was stuck in the Suez Canal for a whole week in March, crossed the canal again. According to “National News”, Egypt declared a state of emergency in this regard.

National News reports that Ever Geffen has already crossed the Suez Canal after the March incident, but this time it’s packed with much more merchandise than it was in the spring. The Egyptian authorities point out that declaring a state of emergency is necessary to ensure a successful and calm passage of state waters for the container ship.

On March 23, the container ship Ever Given, en route from China to Rotterdam, swerved, completely blocking traffic on the Suez Canal. As a result, several hundred ships gathered in line. On March 29, Ever Geffen was brought back into the fairway, but the ship was stranded again due to bad weather. Navigation was fully resumed by the evening of the same day.

Later, a court in Egypt ordered the confiscation of the container ship “Ever Joint” pending compensation from the owner. On July 4, it was reported that the two parties had reached an agreement, three days later the ship left the pier. On July 29, the container ship arrived at the port of Rotterdam.
