554 million pounds for Princess Haya, who ran away from her husband, the Prince of Dubai

The ex-wife of Dubai Emir Mohammed Al Maktoum, Princess Haya, after her divorce from him, will receive approximately 554 million pounds.

The decision of the Supreme Court of Great Britain, where the divorce proceedings took place, was announced on Tuesday, December 21.

According to the judges’ ruling, the ex-husband will pay the princess a part of this amount – 251 million pounds – as compensation. Another £290m will go to support the children of Mohammed Al Maktoum, 14-year-old Princess Haya and Jalila, and 9-year-old Zayed. At the same time, the prince will separately pay 3 million pounds for their training and 9.6 million – for current expenses.

The court also stated that the Emir of Dubai posed the “principal danger” to his wife and two children.

The amount allocated by the court to Princess Hay is 900 million pounds less than what she and her lawyer requested. Who stated that she needs money to pay for the security services, as they fear that Prince Mohammed Al Maktoum will kidnap the children.

And earlier, a British judicial investigation was published, which stated that Mohammed Al Maktoum is holding two of his daughters.

The Emir of Dubai announced the escape of his sixth wife, Haya Bint Al Hussein, in early June 2019. Later it became known that she was in hiding in London. The reason for the escape was the alleged infidelity of her husband – he allegedly found her with a bodyguard.
