The developer of the “Abakan” air defense missile system reveals its features

The uniqueness of the Abakan missile defense system lies in the fact that it combines missiles from the Antey-4000 complex and radar stations from promising missile defense and air defense systems.
Dmitriy Krupalo, Senior Vice President of Designers for the complex, spoke about this.

Abakan complex was created for a client from the Middle East. For the first time it was presented abroad at the Dubai Airshow 2021. The Antey-4000 anti-aircraft missile system was created on the basis of the S-300V4 missile system.

Krupalu explained, “The designers in question were able to combine the Antey-4000 missile system and a new-generation radar through a new automated control system. As a result, it was possible to achieve unique characteristics at the request of a foreign customer.”
