Completion of state tests on “Uran-9” and “Congas”

Oleg Salyukov, Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Ground Forces, said that the Uran-9 strike robot and the Kungas complex have completed state tests.
He also added that several robotic systems are being developed for the Russian army.

The robots have already been used in the context of the joint strategic exercises “West-2021”

Pool operators positively evaluated their capabilities when managing them from a distance.

Uran-9 is armed with a 30 mm automatic cannon, Ataka anti-tank guided missiles, and a Shmel flamethrower.

In 2019, it was officially announced that the state tests of the Kungas combat robot complex had been completed.

The Kungas complex consists of a robot weighing 12 kg, another weighing 200 kg, a transportable robot weighing up to 2 tons, the Nerekhta combat robot and an automated version of the BTR-MDM Rakushka armored personnel carrier. These robots as part of the complex can be controlled from a single center within a single control system.

This year, the Russian defense began to form a striking force in which people play a secondary role. To date, there are five automated complexes. In each of them – one control point on the chassis of the KamAZ car and four “Uranus”.
Each of them will be able to fight against armored vehicles and manpower, destroy mines, air defense systems and even shoot down enemy helicopters.
