Michael Leach, First White House Chief Diversity Officer, Signs With Buchwald For Representation

Michael Leach, who was the first White House chief diversity and inclusion officer, has signed with Buchwald for entertainment and literary representation.

Leach led efforts to create the most diverse White House staff in history. He previously was a top aide on Joe Biden‘s presidential campaign.

Leach departed the White House earlier this year, and founded BridgeTrust Partners LLC, a consulting practice that provides services in venture capital, government, tech, sports, healthcare, education, media and entertainment.

At the White House, Leach fostered dialogue and hosted conversations and engagement with government, sports and entertainment figures including Olivia Rodrigo, Dr. Anthony Fauci and the Golden State Warriors. Since his tenure, he partnered with the group Artists & Athletes for a private dinner and discussion with media and entertainment figures during Grammys week.

In a statement, Leach said that he planned to “draw from my diverse background and experiences to enrich the media and entertainment landscape. As I continue leading BridgeTrust Partners LLC as CEO, and now as an emerging creator, speaker, talent, and host, I look forward to pioneering new ventures, shaping unforgettable experiences, and building a legacy that will resonate for generations to come.”

Before politics, Leach managed labor operations and labor relations matters for the NFL Management Council, and was an assistant to two head coaches.

In a statement, Cedric the Entertainer said, “From his days with the NFL offices in NYC to becoming a conduit for culture in DC at the White House, Michael Leach has proved himself to be a ‘get it done’ kind of person, and it is just what Hollywood needs.”
