An Israeli citizen was killed during the Kazakhstan protests

Israeli Levan Kogischvili died during the protests in Almaty.
According to the Jerusalem Post, Kogischvili was 22 years old.

The newspaper indicated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in contact with his parents in Kazakhstan and his family in Israel and is helping to transport his body to Israel for burial.

According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet, dozens of demonstrators were killed during the protests and riots in Almaty, and about a thousand others were injured.
The representative of the international organization reminded the Kazakh authorities of the need to use force against the demonstrators in accordance with the strict requirements of proportionality.
