Court rejects several women’s lawsuit against former New York governor accusing him of sexual harassment

Albany District Court has dismissed a lawsuit against Andrew Cuomo, the former New York state governor, who has been accused by several women of sexual harassment.

That court decision is expected – the Albany Attorney General’s Office said earlier, the Associated Press said they cannot prove Cuomo’s guilt and intend to stop the criminal prosecution.

During the hearing, which lasted several minutes, Attorney General Jennifer McNee told Judge Holly Trixler: “We can’t get a conviction in this case.”

“As Cuomo said, that simply did not happen today. Reason and the rule of law prevailed. The politician’s lawyer, Rita Glavin, commented on the conclusion of the proceedings, not the politics, rhetoric or mentality of the crowd.
