The Quality Authority launches the National Qualifications Framework next June

Dr. Alaa Ashmawy, Chairman of the National Authority for Educational Quality Assurance and Accreditation, stated that the Authority is working on several axes and paths to achieve a major shift in the recognition of Egyptian education graduates and certificates granted by Egyptian educational institutions, through the Egyptian National Qualifications Framework, which the Authority is currently preparing, Its features will be announced during its annual international conference, which will be held next June under the auspices of the Prime Minister.   

 

The framework includes the Egyptian qualifications database, through which any party inside or outside Egypt can view Egyptian qualifications and their specifications.  

 

This framework contains the specifications of each educational stage, including: knowledge, experiences, and competencies for each stage, and it is divided into “8” Stages starting from kindergarten and ending with a doctorate.  

 

The framework supports the freedom of movement between tracks in different types of education, and helps in combining several specializations, the emergence of new specializations needed by the labor market, and the development of new programs for interspecialization.< /p>

 

This came during the activities of the Education, Technology and Artificial Intelligence Leaders Forum, which was held under the patronage of Dr. Alaa Ashmawy, Chairman of the Authority, and which included an elite group of digital transformation and technology companies as part of the preparation for the Authority’s seventh international conference. Which will be held next June. 

 

Ashmawy added that the authority is currently preparing to hold its seventh international conference, in which major international accreditation institutions and organizations and corresponding bodies and bodies in the Middle East and the Arab world will participate. Europe, Asia, the United States of America, and the ministries and bodies concerned with Egypt; To stay informed of the latest developments in quality and accreditation in the world, especially since the Education Quality and Accreditation Authority in Egypt is the largest body in the region, and enjoys mutual recognition from the largest international accreditation organizations in the world, and has the right to accredit educational institutions outside Egypt on behalf of these international organizations, and thanks to these recognitions, it has become Graduates of Egyptian medical colleges accredited by the Authority are not required to have their certificates approved outside Egypt.

 

 

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Authority for Educational Quality Assurance and Accreditation confirmed that The accreditation file for training institutions and programs is one of the important files that receives great attention from the Authority’s Board of Directors. Because training is an important complement to basic qualifications, especially in acquiring skills that ensure that the person practicing his profession has reached a professional stage that contributes to raising his awareness, information, and skill in his profession, this file was added to us in the amendments to the Authority’s law, and the Authority is now working on setting standards for accrediting training institutions and programs.

 

Ashmawy said that artificial intelligence in education does not replace the teacher, but rather is a highly intelligent tool to help the student and teacher obtain information, application methods, and quickly obtain and exchange information with other colleagues. Through multiple means of communication, artificial intelligence has contributed to solving many problems of online education, including language, as artificial intelligence can be a translator for the learner online and then harness this tool to transfer science and expertise, and then  Harnessing and managing technology in education alongside the teacher is a fundamental goal of quality, and the Authority encourages technology as part of quality procedures and its application and calls for it as a measure to solve the problem of densities in classrooms.
