Conservatives prepare to ‘take down’ Johnson

British Conservatives are preparing for an operation to oust British Prime Minister Boris Johnson amid a scandal with the parties.

According to the Guardian, one of the campaign’s initiators called for the “ousting” of Johnson with “Operation Skating Rink”.
That was the name of a dog shot and killed in British Exmoor in 1975, the incident that prompted liberal leader Jeremy Thorpe to stand trial for conspiracy to murder his lover.

The article says that some Conservative MPs are pressing colleagues to prepare letters of mistrust in the prime minister. At the same time, Boris Johnson himself is preparing a list of civil servants who will have to resign. He called it “Operation Big Dog Rescue.”

One of Johnson’s concerts took place in Downing Street in April 2021, when the country was under severe restrictive measures.
