On May 4, 2024, the interpreter of Winner Mistral got married to the woman who has been his partner since 2017: Christine, known as Cerise, a costume designer 27 years his junior. Renaud, who has been much mocked in recent weeks for his much-maligned stage performances, was all smiles with his show business friends.

Thus, the 71-year-old artist married for the third time. Indeed, he was first married to Dominique Quilichini, the mother of his daughter Lolita – who was present for this big day unlike her daughter – then to Romane Serda, with whom he had a son, Malone, born in July 2006.

Cerise, aged 44, has two children. The long-awaited wedding was therefore celebrated first at the end of the morning at the town hall of the 14th arrondissement of Paris, then at the beginning of the afternoon at the Protestant temple of Port-Royal. As a reminder, the couple now lives in a house purchased in Trentemoult, on the outskirts of Nantes. The lovebirds finally left the scene under a shower of soap bubbles and rose petals then boarded a white convertible Beetle.

Visibly relaxed, they displayed broad smiles throughout the ceremony. And they even came matching! Monsieur wore a very elegant black and white tuxedo, a tie tied around his neck and two red roses hanging from his buttonhole. Roses that matched Cerise’s wreath of red and orange roses. Who had opted for a long white lace dress adorned with a white veil and, of course, cherry-shaped earrings.

A nod to the nickname given to her by the one who is now her husband. “She’s been following me for 30 years, but we first met six years ago, on a TV set. She wore cherry earrings, unforgettable! That’s why I call Cherry”Renaud explained on this subject to Parisian in 2023.

The two lovers, who met in 2017 on a television set but who only formalized their relationship last year, united in front of an audience of stars. Starting with the singer’s long-time friend, Hugues Aufray, who came with the one to whom he also recently married, Murielle.

The 94-year-old artist also made some confidences to Paris Match. “Renaud is like a little brother to me, I don’t want to monopolize him, but he is very important in my life”, first confided the other young groom before revealing that his wife had “sympathized enormously with Cerise“. “It was essential for me. If it hadn’t worked out between them, I would have had a big problem (…) I’m happy to be there to wish them all the happiness they deserve”he concluded.

The actor Philippe Lellouche was also there, as was Vianney – who sang the song in honor of his friend as evidenced by his Instagram stories -, or even Gauvain Sers, Bénabar, Dave, Arthur Jugnot, Laurent Baffie and Jean- Paul Rouve. The wedding evening would have taken place in Yvelines and would have brought together no less than 275 guests. Long live the bride and groom!
