Japan calls on its citizens to leave Ukraine urgently

Hirokazu Matsuno, Secretary-General of the Japanese Cabinet, said that the Japanese authorities are urging its citizens to leave Ukrainian territory urgently. According to him, Tokyo will also take the necessary measures for the situation with its embassy in Kiev.

The decision on Japanese citizens of Ukraine was made in Tokyo after the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs assigned the third level of danger to the Ukrainian state, officially recommending not to visit this country. The maximum threat level – the fourth – means the necessity of evacuation from the state.

At the same time, Matsuno’s statement appeared against the background of the continuation of the discourse of Western countries about the threat of an imminent “invasion” of the Ukrainian lands by Russia.

In parallel with this information, the United States, Great Britain and a number of other countries increased their military support for Kiev. Some countries have allowed their diplomats to leave the Ukrainian capital, but not key embassy staff.
