Russia begins maneuvers in the Barents Sea

Maneuvers with the participation of submarines and support ships

The Russian Northern Fleet began operations in the Barents Sea and on the coastal chains. The maneuvers are performed as part of the exercises with the Arctic Expeditionary Group.

About 1,200 soldiers, 30 ships, 140 units of military equipment and 20 aircraft are participating in the exercises.

Fleet operations are practiced in conjunction with the Arctic Expeditionary Group. The maneuvers are carried out under the command of the Fleet Commander, Admiral Alexander Moiseev. These exercises were previously included in the training plan of the Russian Armed Forces for 2022.

Submarines and support ships will also participate in the event.
