European stocks decline amid anticipation of inflation data in the euro zone
LONDON, May 17 / WAM / European stock indices collectively fell during trading today, Friday, as investors awaited inflation data in the euro zone.
By 04:53 pm UAE time, the European Stoxx 600 index fell by 0.3%, or the equivalent of 1.59 points, to reach the level of 522.03 points.
The German DAX index fell by 0.29%, or 54.03 points, to reach 18,684.78 points, while the Euro Stoxx 50 index fell by 0.34%, or 17.2 points, to reach 5,055.24 points.
The French CAC 40 index fell by about 37 points, or 0.46%, to reach 8,151.18 points, and the British FTSE 100 index fell by about 0.33%, or 27 points, to reach 8,411 points.
