2022 World Hockey Championships date set

Luke Tardiff, president of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), has announced the date of the 2022 FIFA World Youth Championship.

“The World Youth Championships will be organized in mid-August 2022. It will be held in western Canada. There will be a press conference with the Canadian Ice Hockey Federation, but I am already inviting you to the tournament,” Tardif said.

On December 30, the International Ice Hockey Federation decided to cancel the tournament due to the increase in the number of players infected with the Corona virus. The organization’s president, Luke Tardive, later said that the canceled tournament was due to take place in the summer of 2022, with Canada hosting the competition as well.
