Russia begins maneuvers in the Caspian Sea

The press service of the Southern Military District of the Armed Forces of Russia (SMD) reported that 20 ships of the Caspian Fleet began training in the Caspian Sea.

The statement said: “In total, the crews of about 20 warships of the fleet are participating in the naval command and staff maneuvers, including the missile ship Dagestan, Grad Svysk, Uglich, Veliky Ustyug, Makhachkala, and small missile ships. Astrakhan, Stubnets, small artillery ships, Basic minesweepers, boats, as well as support ships,”

The press service indicated that the naval tactical groups of the fleet will soon conduct joint maneuvers of swimming in one march, repelling the means of an air attack of an imaginary enemy, and work on conducting a training.
