During the activities of the Petersburg Climate Dialogue held in the German capital, Berlin, The UAE took the initiative to export its successful experience in climate negotiations to the world through the “Troika of Presidencies of the Conference of the Parties,” which is a tripartite cooperation under the “Emirates Agreement” between the presidencies of the COP28 conferences of the parties, which was held in the UAE, COP29, which will be held in Azerbaijan, and COP30, which will be held in Brazil, where The Troika hosted an Emirati-style council to discuss ways to achieve an orderly, responsible, fair and logical transition in the energy sector, which confirms the UAE’s success in exporting the “council” concept, to adopt a constructive dialogue approach in confronting the most prominent global challenges.
By establishing the concept of the “Council” in climate negotiations, the COP28 presidency aims to enhance international communication in confronting global challenges by facilitating dialogue and discussion between representatives of all countries on various issues, to reach common and applicable solutions, and this can motivate countries to adopt the application of the idea in their societies.
