Ukraine investigates the evacuation of residents of Donbass to Russia
Ukrainian Prosecutor General Irina Venediktova said on her Facebook. The agency has launched an investigation into the “unlawful evacuation” of Donbass residents to Russia.
According to her, Russia “illegally transfers the population to the Russian Federation”, forcing men to join the ranks of the so-called armed forces of the LPR and DPR republics.
“Based on these facts, the Luhansk and Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office has already registered criminal proceedings for violating the laws and customs of war (Part 1, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),” she added.
