Tarryn Thomas is in trouble with police AGAIN for allegedly harassing his ex – after being sacked for his treatment of women

Axed footy star Tarryn Thomas is facing a new police investigation after allegedly harassing an ex-girlfriend in what shapes as a huge blow to his chances of returning to the AFL.

The latest allegations were reported to Victoria Police last month, a spokesman from the force said.

‘Police are investigating after reports of harassing phone contact. A report was made to police on April 11 and investigations into the incident remain ongoing,’ the spokesman told News Corp

No charges have been laid.

Thomas was sacked by North Melbourne last February after being banned by the AFL for 18 weeks over his inappropriate behaviour with a woman.

The league found he ‘had engaged in multiple acts of misconduct including threatening a woman via direct messages multiple times’.

He has been put on a behaviour program and will only be allowed to return to the AFL if league bosses are satisfied that he has turned a corner.

It recently emerged that some AFL clubs are looking at the possibility of bringing the 24-year-old back into the top flight after Essendon coach Brad Scott said he ‘deserves a second chance’ in footy.

News of the new police investigation comes just days after a leaked email from North Melbourne CEO Jennifer Watt to the bosses of all 17 other teams claimed Thomas was ‘not able to meaningfully change his behaviour’ when he was at the club.

He was forced to undertake four behaviour modification programs before being axed by the Kangaroos.

Thomas was banned for 18 games for conduct unbecoming after he was alleged to have engaged in multiple acts of misconduct, including the threatening of a woman.

The midfielder is banned from playing footy at any level until July 22. In order for a return to the AFL system he must convince the league that he has changed.

He was charged with threatening to distribute an intimate image of a woman in 2023 but that was later changed to a charge of using a carriage service to harass someone.

Thomas walked from court in July last year without a conviction after being granted a diversion, but was ordered to pay $1000 to a charity.

In April 2023, North fined Thomas $5000 for a video he posted to social media that showed him behind the wheel of his Mercedes with his feet on the dashboard as the vehicle drifted between two lanes.

He was also required to donate a further $5000 to a road safety charity.
