Israel decides to give 10 million shekels to the Jewish community in Ukraine

The Israeli government has pledged 10 million shekels ($3.07 million) in emergency aid to the Jewish community in Ukraine.

The Israeli Ministry of Diaspora Affairs issued a statement indicating that the (Jewish community in Ukraine) needs immediate and continuous support. This decision was made on the basis of the mandate to support both Jews at risk and Jewish communities.”

It should also be noted that Diaspora Affairs Minister Nachman Shay and his team are constantly following the situation in Ukraine and know the needs of Ukrainian Jews.

Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid had said. Israel condemns the Russian military operation in Ukraine. And that “the Russian attack on Ukraine seriously disrupts the world order.”

Lapid said that Israel condemns this attack and is ready to provide humanitarian assistance to the citizens of Ukraine.
