Italy declares a state of emergency
Italy declared a state of emergency until the end of the year to provide assistance to refugees from Ukraine.
“The Council of Ministers decided to strengthen measures of assistance and support for people who collectively seek and continue to seek asylum in the countries of the European Union,” the statement said, following a government meeting.
Italy declared a state of emergency until December 31, 2022.
