UN reports doubling the number of ISIS in Afghanistan

The head of the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Office, Vladimir Voronkov, stated that ISIS has doubled its numbers in Afghanistan.

“In the current situation in Afghanistan, where al-Qaeda is still out of control and ISIS has almost doubled in size, coordinated regional action is required,” Voronkov said at a special conference.
He also called for the implementation of a joint plan of anti-terrorist actions in Central Asia.
