Taliban bans national flag of Afghanistan

The ruling Taliban movement in Afghanistan has officially banned the tricolor national flag and replaced it with the movement’s white flag.

It follows from the Taliban edict that from now on all government agencies in the country and abroad will now use the white flag of the movement. Taliban officials are also not allowed to use the three colors.

On August 15, 2021, the Taliban announced that it had taken full control of Afghanistan. The Taliban captured all major cities and border crossings in the country. After that, the militants declared their complete victory in the country and formed a new government.

Earlier, the head of the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Office, Vladimir Voronkov, said that the Islamic State (ISIS) has doubled its numbers in Afghanistan.
