UN Secretary-General calls for humanitarian truce in Ukraine
During negotiations with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, UN Deputy Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Martin Griffiths stated that he would like to see a humanitarian truce being established throughout Ukraine.
Griffiths said: “The first general request I would like to make to you, on behalf of Mr. Guterres, is to consider, and I have a number of thoughts on this, the possibility that he would like to see it a general humanitarian pause throughout Ukraine.
