Jordan announces the evacuation of 9 doctors and nurses from Gaza
The Directorate of Operations and Consular Affairs at the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs announced that, in joint efforts with the Jordanian Armed Forces, today, Tuesday, 9 Jordanian doctors and nurses were evacuated from Gaza to the Kingdom.
The official spokesman for the Ministry, Ambassador Dr. Sufyan Al-Qudah, said that the doctors were working in the European Hospital in Gaza as part of a medical campaign organized under the umbrella of the Palestinian American Medical Association (PAMA) and the Jordanian-American Physicians Association (JAPA).
Al-Qudah added, in a statement, that assistance was also provided in the evacuation. Doctors of other nationalities, stressing that the Ministry, in cooperation with the Jordanian Armed Forces, continues the evacuation operations for Jordanian citizens residing and present in Gaza, and provides them with all forms of assistance to ensure their security and safety, and secure their return to the Kingdom as quickly as possible.
