Global COVID-19 deaths drop by 43%

The global COVID-19 infection rate decreased for the second week in a row, over the past week, the number of infections decreased by 16%, and deaths by 43%.

According to the weekly epidemiological bulletin. From the World Health Organization (WHO). Between March 28 and April 3, the rate of infection with the Coronavirus decreased in all regions of the world. In just one week, more than 9 million cases of COVID-19 have been detected in the world.

Deaths from the Corona virus also decreased in all regions. In total, more than 26,000 deaths from COVID-19 infection were recorded worldwide within a week.

The World Health Organization notes that caution should be exercised in these trends due to the fact that some countries are gradually changing their testing methods for COVID-19, which leads to a decrease in the total number of tests performed, and thus to a decrease in the number of detected cases.

During the entire period of the epidemic, about 489 million cases of coronavirus infection and more than 6 million deaths from the consequences of the disease were detected in the world.
