Ronald Koeman returns as Dutch national team coach

Ronald Koeman, the former head coach of the Dutch national football team, will return to the position of coach of the country’s national team.

According to the website of the Royal Dutch Football Association. The contract will be valid until the 2026 World Cup, but the 59-year-old will start his duties after the 2022 World Cup, which will be held in Qatar from November 21 to December 18.

Louis van Gaal is currently in charge of the Dutch national team, which will also serve in the tournament being held in Qatar. Earlier, the 70-year-old Van Gaal said he has cancer.

Koeman led the national team from 2018 to 2020, and also worked as a head coach for Dutch clubs Vitesse, Ajax, Eindhoven, Arizona, Benfica, Valencia and Barcelona, ​​Southampton and Everton.

Under his leadership, Ajax and Eindhoven became the champions of the Netherlands.

As a player, Koeman won many titles, including international tournaments, with Ajax, Eindhoven and Barcelona. He is the European champion in 1988 with his country.
