Children’s songs singer Rasha Rizk: My heart breaks every day because of Gaza
The Syrian children’s songs singer expressed on the " Space Toon" Rasha Rizk, who is famous for singing the animated series “Remy” And “Anastasia” And “Captain Majid” And "Pokemon" And “Al-Qannas” expressed her deep sadness over what is happening now in Gaza.. noting that she is keen to keep up and follow the events in Palestine-Gaza, and that her heart is squeezed daily because of these scenes and their cruelty.
< p>Rasha Rizk pointed out – in a statement during her participation in the Sharjah Reading Festival – that she recently presented an artistic work with a Syrian singer in classical music about bereaved mothers in Gaza and it was published on social media. She also performed a song about Palestine with the Algerian singer Manal Gharbi and now She is considering presenting it via a video clip.
Regarding the beginning of discovering and developing her talent, Amal Rizk said" I started singing at a very young age, and I learned music on a regular academic basis at the age of 9 years. The first person who discovered me was the music teacher at school. He asked my family to give me music lessons for free because he believed in my talent. I studied with him authentic Arabic music, including Maqamat and Muwashahat, as well as classical songs. Old pillars of Arabic music such as Umm Kulthum, Muhammad Abdel Wahhab, Asmahan, Farid Al-Atrash and many of the most important Arab singing stars.
She added that after she finished studying in secondary school, she decided to join. She entered the Higher Institute of Music in Damascus and studied opera for five years, until she became a professor at the institute for eight years, and worked as a singer at the Opera House in Syria, after which she decided to complete her studies in France.
And about her beginning with the “Space Toon” channel; The famous Rasha Rizk says, “During all these stages in my life and some time before I traveled to France, I started working with the Space Toon channel, which is credited with discovering my voice, launching me to the public, and beginning my professional and practical career with my academic career, and through it I discovered other talents in writing.” Songs, writing, and acting, and I am still working with the channel and I am happy to be a part of it.”
She stressed that dealing with a child represents a great responsibility, and in addition to that, dealing with him is dangerous and delicate. Regarding the association of her name with children, she explained that from the beginning she was like any artist I was. I am looking for my own and different production, but I love experimentation, acting, voices, and a sense of humor, and this seems more appropriate for the world of children, as I am a little child inside me.
And whether the twenty-first century is more difficult to receive and provide content than the generation of the nineties of the century. In the twenties, Rasha Rizk said, “Every generation is a difficult generation. For our people, we were a difficult generation, because education and development are not an easy thing, but in my opinion, we should not be afraid of the future and its developments. Regarding her experiences in theater and whether she prefers acting or singing, she said that I prefer music and singing, because even when I get on stage I sing, my role is essentially a musical and singing role mixed with acting.
Regarding the challenges facing artists who provide content for children, she said, “The most important challenges are social media.” Because in the past, the child was in a state of greater discipline, as he had no means of information and entertainment other than television, but now there are many uncensored platforms, so parents must assume the role of monitoring children and what they watch and receive from different platforms, and censorship laws must be issued. To control the platforms and the content presented on it.”
The Syrian artist Rasha Rizk had performed a concert last night on the fourth day of the activities of the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival in its 15th session, and she began her concert by singing the logos of the “Space Toon” series. The most famous song, including the song “Who Knows How to Be,” and she moved on to sing the song “Digital Heroes,” which is one of her fastest-time songs.
Rasha Rizk performed 21 songs during the concert, and the first of those songs she performed ; The badge of the series “Les Misérables”. She also chose from the list of her songs that she shared with the audience a group of songs called “Waltz Songs”, such as the series “Do Re Mi”.
