EU bans supplying Russia with oil and gas processing equipment
The European Union, as part of the sanctions imposed on Russia, has banned the sale, supply, transfer or export of oil refining and natural gas liquefaction equipment to Russia.
It should be noted that it does not matter whether this equipment was created on the territory of the European Union or outside it. It is forbidden to sell to both companies, there and any persons associated with the Russian Federation; The equipment should not be used on Russian territory.
The ban includes the following components: technological installations for gas refrigeration in the LNG process, installations for separation and fractionation of hydrocarbons in the LNG process, installations for liquefaction of natural gas, etc.
Sanctions also apply to equipment related to oil refining: alkylation and isomerization units, aromatic hydrocarbon production units, vacuum oil distillation units, hydrogen extraction and purification technology, etc.
