Margot Robbie plays Barbie

Warner Bros. has released the first image of Margot Robbie as Barbie, who will play the famous game in the movie “Barbie” by Greta Gerwig.

The image was shown as part of CinemaCon in Las Vegas. In the photo, the 31-year-old actress is standing in a pink Chevrolet Corvette sports car. She features ’60s-inspired outfit with a blue polka dot headband and striped hood, as well as a massive piece of jewelry.

And it was previously reported that the premiere of the movie “Barbie” will be on July 21, 2023.

Sony has been working on the Barbie project since 2014, when a deal with Mattel, the copyright owner, was announced. At first, the main role in the film was Amy Schumer (“Pretty Woman”), but in the end, the actress refused to shoot due to difficulties with her work schedule.
