NATO warns of possible provocations in Moldova

NATO Deputy Secretary-General Mircea Guiwana said that provocations may continue in Moldova to destabilize the situation.

Giwana said in an interview with Romanian Digi-24 TV channel, that the purpose of such provocations is to create obstacles for Ukrainian forces in Odessa and in western Ukraine.

“We don’t see any imminent military risks with respect to Moldova,” Jiwana said. Instead, we expect provocative actions, actions under a false banner. That is why we are very careful in our support and in relation to countries under such pressure, but, I repeat, we do not see any imminent military risks for Moldova at the moment”.
