Mishal Al-Sabah: We are looking forward to attracting Emirati companies in the creative and innovative sectors in Kuwait
KUWAIT, April 29 (WAM) – His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mishal Al-Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Director General of the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority, expressed the authority’s aspiration to attract Emirati companies operating in the technological, creative and innovative sectors to achieve the goals of Kuwaiti economic diversification.
His Excellency said in statements to the Emirates News Agency “WAM” today, on the sidelines of the conclusion of the UAE Companies Exhibition and Forum in Kuwait, which was held over the course of the 28th and 29th of this April: “We focus on attracting companies that will help achieve comprehensive development in Kuwait, enhance its economic growth and create… Quality jobs for citizens.” He explained that the Authority continues its efforts to facilitate the entry of this type of companies into the Kuwaiti market.
Regarding the holding of the Emirati Companies Exhibition and Forum, His Excellency said: “This event is very important for strengthening Kuwaiti-Emirati cooperation, especially in the presence of a large group of Emirati companies that have proven their success over the past years in various fields and commercial activities,” expressing his aspiration that the exhibition and forum will contribute to strengthening cooperation. Between the Kuwaiti private sector and the Emirati private sector.
He expressed his optimism about the presence of Emirati companies, which are considered a source of pride for the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and said: “We aspire to see a large presence of Emirati companies in the Kuwaiti market in the near future, as well as a large presence of Kuwaiti companies in the Emirati market, with the aim of enhancing trade and investment exchange between the two brotherly countries.”
