Pension reform: "SNCF has the right to its company agreements, it has the right to its adjustments"underlines the Minister of Transport
“Pension reform applies everywhere, including in public companies”thundered the Minister of Transport, Patrice Vergriete, Monday April 29, while a new end-of-career agreement was found at SNCF for “theimitate” the effects of pension reform. “But who says public companies, also says companies, and therefore the SNCF has the right to its company agreements, it has the right to its arrangements”added the minister.
The four main unions and management approved, on April 22, a new system of “early cessation of activity”. It allows retirement, while remaining paid by the company. The agreement proposes to split the end of careers into two periods. One where the employee works and is paid 100%. Then another, where he no longer works, but remains paid at 75%.
