Sharjah, May 10 / WAM / His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadhi, Director General of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, confirmed the interest of leaders in the global business sectors in investing and establishing companies in Sharjah, pointing to the emirate’s success in attracting 34 new foreign direct investment projects during the first half of 2023 with a total value It amounted to more than 1.2 billion dirhams in various investment sectors.
Al-Awadhi said that the Sharjah Chamber is keen to participate in various economic exhibitions and forums that would contribute to advancing the economy in the emirate, and promoting the emirate as an attractive center for international companies and a distinguished commercial and economic location in the region, in addition to highlighting the most prominent services provided by the Sharjah Chamber in caring for the sector. The private sector and the business community and the facilities and support it provides to investors to practice their various commercial and industrial activities.
Al-Awadhi praised the Annual Investment Forum and its role in providing investors with a comprehensive vision of promising investment opportunities at the local and global levels and highlighting the most prominent experiences and effective practices in enhancing investment cooperation and ways to achieve sustainable economic development.
He pointed out that the Sharjah Chamber was keen to hold many meetings with the official delegations that participated in the event with the aim of promoting the attractive investment environment that Sharjah enjoys, which is witnessing continuous growth.
