The Supreme Judicial Committee supervising the Bar Association elections, headed by Counselor Dr. Muhammad Abu Deif, Secretary-General of the Administrative Prosecution Authority, set 9:30 p.m. tomorrow, Monday, to announce the full results of the Bar Association elections, which were held on The position of General President and membership of the Bar Association Council.
The decision of the Judicial Committee supervising the Bar Association elections came to set the date for announcing the results at the conclusion of its meeting. The meeting was held on Sunday night, after it received all the electoral process papers from all the governorates, and reviewed the work and minutes of procedures and the numerical count and counting of votes from all polling committees at the republic level.
The electoral process was held yesterday, Saturday, for the position of General President of the Bar Association, as well as all the seats allocated to membership in the Syndicate Council, which number 28 seats, of which 3 seats are allocated to the legal departments, and 25 Seats are distributed among the circuits of 8 courts of appeal at the republic level.
A judicial committee composed of The Administrative Prosecution Authority, headed by Counselor Dr. Mohamed Abu Deif, Vice President of the Authority and its Secretary-General, manages and supervises the entire electoral process, in 488 polling stations, inside the headquarters of the General Syndicate of Lawyers in Cairo and the subsidiary unions in the governorates, which number 37.
The number of registered names in the voter lists reached 322,152 lawyers, and 14 candidates competed for the position of head of the Bar Syndicate, while 253 competed. Candidate for the seats allocated for Council membership.
