When I say I got that Bob in me, this is what I mean

You probably already know this by now because the internet hasn’t shut up about it since it was announced, but Timothée Chalamet is playing Bob Dylan. The biopic – titled A Complete Unknown – doesn’t even have a release date yet, but this week we caught our first glimpse of Timmy as Bob filming on the streets of New York.

Decked out in a ratty, yellow scarf, grubby carpenter jeans, and a tatty workers jacket, Timmy had a decidedly glum look across his face, and we doubt the clothes helped to ease it. Sure, he’s currently playing Dylan at the early stages of his career, but when do we get to the good fashion? All buttery leather, mysterious sunglasses, and the time he starred in that Celine campaign?

And, like us, we know that Timmy probably feels out of sorts too. Last time I checked, Haider Ackermann doesn’t offer a fingerless glove and Baker Boy option, and I know he’s just dying to slip back into those Juun.J leather overalls. Hang in there Timmy, it will all be worth it come 2025 awards season (if all goes according to plan).
