Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel-Al said that the centers issuing shop licenses in the governorate have so far received nearly 12,000 applications from shop owners; To obtain a license.
The governor added – in a statement today, Thursday – that the work teams roaming Cairo’s neighborhoods accompanied by a technology center vehicle aim to help shop owners submit applications in their places, and receive the documents required from them to license the activity free of charge. He explained that the work teams are also introducing citizens to the facilities provided by Public Stores Law No. (154), which allows the store owner to deal with one counter instead of frequenting several destinations. To obtain approvals before licensing in order to save effort and money.
He continued that the governorate is keen for all shops to continue practicing their activities and to enter the legal system approved by the state, especially after the expiration of the deadline granted to unlicensed shops stipulated in the law.
He pointed out that the centers for issuing shop licenses in the neighborhoods provide licensing services for 316 activities in accordance with the law, and the fees for each type of activity will be determined through the electronic system without any interference from the workers at the issuance centers.
He praised the great response of the owners Referrals to enter the public store system in accordance with Law (154), and their willingness to apply to benefit from the facilities provided therein, indicating that field work teams accompanied by a mobile technology center vehicle, as well as fixed centers in neighborhoods, receive great demand from store owners.
The governor urged shop owners to prepare the required documents and send them to the fixed and mobile issuance centers, or to the work teams spread throughout all neighborhoods. He stressed that the applicant is given a receipt indicating that the license application has been submitted for free without any financial compensation, which avoids The shop owner is subject to any decision to close until the licensing procedures are completed, and he stressed the managers of the shop licensing centers and district heads to provide all facilities to citizens applying for a license in accordance with the law and to improve the quality of the service provided to them so that it is completed easily and as quickly as possible.
