Minister of Development: President Sisi pays great attention to supporting our children with disabilities

Minister of Local Development, Hisham Amna, praised the pivotal role played by civil society organizations and civil associations within the framework of the National Alliance for Private Development Action in the governorates and supporting the government’s efforts in many important areas, most notably helping the most needy families, people with disabilities and special needs, and women. For charitable work, in the presence of Dr. Issam Shaat, Assistant Minister for Local Administration, Ahmed Arafat, Head of the Performance Evaluation, Follow-up and Inspection Sector, Magdy Al-Abraq, General Director of Legal Affairs, and from the Resala Association, Engineer Muhammad Abdel Hadi, CEO of the Association, Dr. Sherif Yahya Mahmoud, Director of Government Relations at the Resala Association, and Mahmoud Abu Zaid, Deputy Director of Government Relations at Resala.

 

Hisham Amna pointed out the important role played by Resala Charitable Society in supporting charitable and volunteer activities for people of determination to enable them and assist them in facing emergency situations. Among them, pointing to the interest that the Ministry attaches to implementing President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives to the government and concerned state agencies and institutions to support our children with determination and special needs and provide all support to them and their families as they are among the existing groups in society that require care and attention, developing their skills, raising their efficiency, providing services to them and integrating them into society. Enabling them to access all basic educational, medical and recreational services and spreading awareness of their rights.

 

The minister added that according to the protocol that was signed between the Ministry of Local Development and the Resala Charitable Society, the ministry will coordinate with the governorates. To grant licenses and facilitate procedures to allow the Association to hold Challenge Day events and parties next December 6 for people of determination and those accompanying them from Resala Association volunteers, free of charge, in the parks affiliated with the local administration in the governorates of Cairo, Giza, and Alexandria, and also to allow people of determination, their families, and the association’s volunteers to visit and hold parties inside the parks affiliated with the Cairo governorates. – Giza – Alexandria) for free, except for holidays and official holidays throughout the year 2024.

 

He explained that according to the protocol, coordination was agreed between the Ministry and the Resala Association to support the most needy families in the governorates to establish a number of humanitarian and medical convoys. During the period from April 2024 until the end of April 2025, it will be provided from the association’s resources, and the Ministry will communicate with the governorates to grant licenses and facilitate procedures for these activities to implement them in an integrated manner that achieves the goals of the Egyptian state.

 

The Minister of Local Development expressed his hope to increase cooperation between the Ministry and Resala Association in the governorates during the coming period and to discuss a number of new ideas to help all members of society. 

 

For his part, Dr. Sherif Abdel Azim, President of the Resala Association, thanked the Minister of Local Development for the support provided by the Ministry for the success of the association’s activities in the governorates and the continuous and good coordination and cooperation between the two sides to serve the directions and plans of the Egyptian state.

 

He said that the association pays great attention to supporting people with disabilities through a wide range of volunteer activities implemented by the association, and in doing so it benefits from its extensive experience in this field and its network of volunteers spread across various governorates.

 

He added that this protocol and cooperation with the Ministry of Local Development will contribute to achieving the association’s goals to support the state’s efforts and implement the directives of the political leadership to enable people with disabilities to access their constitutional and legal rights, especially with regard to confronting emergency situations, economic empowerment, and benefiting from public and specialized parks affiliated with the local administration.< /p>

 

The president of the Resala Charitable Society indicated that the association will make every effort to achieve the best results and the success of the provisions of the protocol and to complete the successful cooperation between the Ministry of Local Development and the Resala Association by providing an urgent and effective contribution to Emergency situations for the most needy groups and people of determination, and benefiting from the expertise of the Ministry of Local Development in this important file.
