Spokesman "Global health": The human tragedy in the Gaza Strip increases after 6 months of war

 The official spokesman for the World Health Organization, Christian Lindmeier, confirmed the increase in human tragedy and the tragic events and developments in the Gaza Strip after six months of war.

Lindmeier said – in an intervention with the “Cairo News” channel, today /Wednesday/ – “We now celebrate World Health Day in light of these tragic events and the great loss of many human rights in Gaza, and the matter cannot be more ridiculous than what we are witnessing now.”

He added: “The conditions The humanitarian repercussions in Gaza are saddening, as there are many hospitals that were completely destroyed and the hospitals that are still in service are working partially, and “Al-Shifa” Hospital It has become out of service, and the extent of the destruction caused to health institutions is enormous, as well as to many buildings and infrastructure, which of course affected the facilities and led to the destruction of all parts of life.”

He pointed out that there are so far more than 32 thousand of them. Deaths, according to statistics, include about 14,000 children, in addition to women being greatly harmed since the beginning of this tragedy, due to the continuous bombing of all means of life and shelters that are heavily targeted. There is also the spread of diseases, malnutrition, and a shortage of water suitable for human use. The largest in food and medical supplies.

He continued: “The simple truth is that we are on the verge of real famine in Gaza, and we can see that famine has already begun among the Palestinian people, and it is a man-made famine and not due to a natural disaster.” Noting that because of this famine, many health problems come, including the spread of infectious diseases, and in light of malnutrition, many other diseases come and spread unexpectedly, as thousands of children suffer from severe famine.

He stressed that This famine can be ended at any time by activating the necessary measures, allowing humanitarian aid to enter through safe routes and reaching citizens, and ending this tragedy.
