"Federal tax" Calls on business sectors to accompany the programme "Bureaucracy whistles"

Dubai, 4 April / WAM / The Federal Tax Authority called on business sectors to share their ideas and proposals for the sustainable development of the Authority’s services, and to keep pace with the “Zero Government Bureaucracy” program launched by the UAE government, in a way that raises levels of efficiency, quality and flexibility, and simplifies and reduces government procedures and eliminates unnecessary procedures and requirements. .
This came during a Ramadan meeting held by the Authority for representatives of many business sectors in the country, in the presence of His Excellency Khaled Ali Al-Bustani, Director General of the Federal Tax Authority, His Excellency Muhammad Abdul Rahman Muhammad Al-Hawi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Investment, and a number of officials from the Authority as part of its efforts to strengthen relations of cooperation and continuous communication with its partners. In the government and private sectors.
During the meeting, which was attended by more than 210 representatives of small, medium and large companies and government agencies, His Excellency Khaled Al Bustani stressed the importance of continuous communication between the Authority and all business sectors, to learn about their opinions and contributions to the sustainable development plans that the Authority is undertaking for its services and procedures, indicating that the Authority is keen Since the beginning of its work, it has been working to involve stakeholders in the development processes that are being implemented on a permanent basis for tax systems and procedures, and their opinions are taken into account, expressing the constant welcome of customers’ comments and opinions.
Al Bustani said: “The Authority has begun working on launching several initiatives to accelerate tax procedures to contribute to the “Zero Government Bureaucracy” program, which was launched during the sessions organized by the UAE government to enhance effective partnerships with the private sector. The Authority participated in the sessions of the program that aims to eliminate… 2,000 government procedures within a year, and reducing the duration of government services by 50 percent. The Authority will continue to provide facilities for its services, cancel more of its procedures, and reduce the duration of completion of its services in line with the “Zero Government Bureaucracy” program.
Al-Bustani added: “We realize that achieving the best results in this field requires the combined efforts of all those concerned with the tax sector by actively participating in opinions and perceptions based on practical experiences,” noting that the Authority is constantly holding consultative meetings and brainstorming sessions in person and via remote video communication to seek opinions. Those concerned about the development plans undertaken by the Authority in all areas of its work, and their comments are taken into account in the design and implementation of any development projects or new initiatives.”
During the Ramadan meeting, representatives of small, medium and large companies and government agencies were briefed on developments in implementing the corporate tax. Representatives of the Authority stressed the need to adhere to the Authority’s decision regarding specifying time periods for categories of those subject to corporate tax to submit registration applications during which it entered into force as of the first of March 2024, noting the importance of those subject to corporate tax with licenses issued during the months of January and February expediting the submission of registration applications. Regardless of the year the licenses were issued, they must submit registration applications for corporate tax no later than May 31, 2024, to avoid violating tax legislation.
