Health: 13.077 million citizens were examined through the initiative to detect chronic diseases and kidney disease

 

The Ministry of Health and Population announced that 13 million 77 thousand and 618 citizens have been examined, as part of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s initiative, to examine and treat chronic diseases and early detection of kidney disease, since the launch of the initiative in September 2021 until Today.

 

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the initiative works through 3,601 primary care units nationwide, and aims to early diagnosis and treatment of chronic diseases and provide services. High-quality health care for all citizens in the age group over 40 years, in addition to young people over the age of 18 who have a history of chronic diseases.

Chronic diseases, which were prepared through cooperation between the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization, explaining that the scientific committee of the initiative participates in developing guidelines, and holds training courses for medical staff participating in the initiative.

 

Abdul Ghaffar indicated: He pointed out that if the patient is confirmed to have chronic kidney disease, he will be referred to hospitals to receive the necessary treatment free of charge as part of the initiative, pointing out that medical teams in primary care units have been trained to use the “early detection device for kidney disease.” Appealing to citizens who suffer from chronic diseases (hypertension, diabetes) to visit health units to benefit from the services of the “President of the Republic’s initiative to examine and treat chronic diseases and early detection of kidney disease.” And checking on their health condition “for free”.
