The judo team decides the roster for the African Championship on Sunday

The Egyptian judo national team is preparing to participate in the African Judo Championship that qualifies for the 2024 Paris Olympics, scheduled to be held during the period from April 24 to 28 in Cairo.

 

It is scheduled that the team will decide The technical list for the Egyptian national team is the list of players participating in the tournament next Sunday, before the final list is announced.

 

The number of teams scheduled to participate in the tournament competitions has increased to 21 teams.

The teams participating in the tournament are: Benin, Cape Verde, Central Africa, Chad, Comoros, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Gabon, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Mauritius, Morocco, Niger, Rwanda, Togo, Tunisia, Algeria, Tanzania, Zambia, in addition to the Egyptian national team.

 

The African Judo Championship qualifying competitions for the Paris 2024 Olympics are scheduled to be held during the period from 24 to 2024. April 28, at the Cairo Stadium’s indoor hall complex.

 

For his part, Marzouk Ali, President of the Egyptian Judo Federation, said that preparations are in full swing to host and organize the African Championship. In a way that befits the reputation of Egyptian sports.

 

He added that the Egyptian state possesses unlimited capabilities, and that everyone has the heart of one man, and the goal is to organize the tournament in a distinctive way that is in line with Egypt’s capabilities in hosting the largest World events.

 

The President of the Egyptian Federation revealed the existence of great cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, headed by Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, and also the Olympic Committee headed by Engineer Yasser Idris, in order to overcome all obstacles and remove Championship in a distinctive way.
