"UNICEF" It announces that its vehicle was hit by live ammunition in Gaza
GAZA, April 11, 2017 (WAM) – The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) announced today, Thursday in Gaza, that its vehicle was hit by live ammunition while it was waiting to enter the northern Gaza Strip, which is besieged by Israel.
UNICEF said in a statement on the X platform, “Yesterday, a vehicle was hit by live ammunition as it was waiting to enter northern Gaza.”
The organization added: Unfortunately, humanitarian workers still face risks in providing life-saving aid, and unless humanitarian aid workers are protected, in accordance with international humanitarian law, humanitarian aid will not be able to reach the people in need.
